2004 National Finalist, American Council of Engineering Companies

The Aqaba International Industrial Estate is being developed to foster private sector investments and enhance economic growth and employment opportunities in southern Jordan. Wilbur Smith Associates, in association with the Jordanian firms Consolidated Consultants and the Community Development Group, provided comprehensive master planning, design, and construction engineering services to implement the Industrial Estate. Located on 275 acres near the Aqaba International Airport, the Estate is an outstanding example of value and effectiveness of an integrated management/design/construction approach, allowing final delivery on time and within budget.
